In the past, I have struggled to keep up with my attempts at blogging.  I realize now that it is largely because I really don't like spouting off about myself.  While I have played along in the past, I don't want to do it again.  Recently I have found myself overwhelmed by the abundant self-promoting narcissism the the blog/facebook era has ushered in.  It's suddenly all about how much you can say, not what you are saying.  But what if there is a compromise?

How do I allow people who might want to follow my summer to do so, without just talking about myself and how exciting things are, or how well things are going.  We rarely write about things that go wrong, is that fair?  To only report the things we want people to hear-- sounds a bit too Fox News for me.

So I thought of a possible solution.  I am going to start a PhotoBlog of my racing season.  Yes, the photos will hopefully tell a bit of a story, but I feel that telling my story through photographs allows me to be more creative than the normal "reporting" that most blogs have become.  I hope you enjoy the photos.
